This Privacy Policy explains how Tselia Coffee, LLC (“Tselia,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit tselia.com, place an order with us, subscribe, apply to work with us, or buy from us in our café. By using our website, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run our shop and serve you well.

Information you give us

• Orders: your name, email address, and shipping address when you place an order or start a subscription.
• Subscriptions: when you manage a subscription on our website, we email you a one-time sign-in code and keep a record of the changes you make, such as skipping a delivery or changing your coffee, so we can ship the right thing and answer questions.
• Accounts: if you create an account or sign in, we store your email address and link it to your orders and subscriptions. Sign-in works by a one-time code sent to your email, so we never store a password for you.
• Contact form: your name, email address, and the message you send us.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you choose to subscribe, whether on our website or by scanning the sign-up code in our café. You can opt out at any time using the link in any email.
• Wholesale: if you apply for a wholesale account, your business name, contact details, and address, and, if you claim a sales-tax exemption, your resale certificate, which may include a tax identification number. Certificates are kept in private storage with access limited to the people who review wholesale accounts, and are opened only through links that expire.
• SMS / text messaging: if you choose to opt in at checkout or through a sign-up form, we collect your mobile phone number to send you shipping updates or promotional messages. We will never share or sell your phone number to third-party affiliates for their own marketing purposes.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card number or payment credentials — Stripe handles that directly and securely. We receive only confirmation of payment and limited details (such as the last four digits and order totals) needed to fulfill and support your order.

Purchases in our café

When you buy something at the counter, our point-of-sale system records the sale: what was bought, when, how it was paid for, and, if you gave it at the register or on a receipt, your name or email address. We use these records to run the business and to understand what sells. If you gave us your email address at the register, we may invite you to our newsletter once. We keep one record per email address, so giving it again on a later visit never triggers a second invitation; after that we email you only if you opt in.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically log basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and running. We use only essential cookies — for example, to remember the items in your cart or to keep you signed in. Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot check that may set a cookie on Cloudflare’s own domain and looks at technical signals from your browser; it does not track you across sites. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We also use Sentry to monitor the performance and stability of our website. This tool helps us detect and fix technical errors (like broken links or crashes) so we can improve your experience, but it is strictly configured so that it does not track, collect, or store any personally identifiable information (PII).

How we use your information

• To process, fulfill, and deliver your orders and subscriptions.
• To send transactional emails — order confirmations, shipping and pickup notifications, subscription receipts, sign-in codes, and confirmations of changes you make.
• To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
• To send our newsletter and occasional offers, if you opted in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and opting out never affects your orders or subscriptions.
• To understand how our business is doing — what sells, when, and how often — using sales records in aggregate.
• To review wholesale applications and verify tax-exemption claims.
• To operate, secure, and improve our website, and to comply with the law.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate, and only as needed to perform their service:

• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• Resend — sending our transactional emails and our newsletter, and keeping our newsletter list.
• Cloudflare — image and file storage, content delivery, and the bot check on our forms.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Railway and Neon — hosting for the systems and databases behind the website and our sales records.
• Sentry — error monitoring and crash reporting (anonymized data only).
• Shipping carriers (such as USPS, UPS, and FedEx) — to deliver your order.
• Google Maps — our Contact page embeds a Google map, which loads content from Google when you view it.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Your choices and rights

• Newsletter and offers: unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or ask us through the Contact page. Opting out stops marketing email only; you will still receive the emails needed to run your orders.
• Subscriptions: skip a delivery, change your coffee, update your address, update your payment details, or cancel at any time from the Manage subscription page.
• Access or deletion: you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us (see below). We may need to keep certain records to meet legal or accounting obligations.
• State privacy rights (including California): if you reside in California, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) regarding the access, deletion, and portability of your personal information. Tselia Coffee does not sell your personal data. You can exercise your data rights by contacting us using the information below.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, after which we delete or anonymize it. In practice: order, subscription, and sales records are kept for as long as tax law requires, generally seven years; your newsletter address stays on our list until you unsubscribe; account details are kept while your account is open and removed on request; one-time sign-in codes expire within minutes and are not reused. Job-application retention is described below.

Job applicants

If you apply to work with us through our Careers page, we collect the details you enter (name, email, phone, availability, your note about yourself), your résumé, and an optional short video or video link. We use them only to consider your application and to contact you about it. Files are stored in private storage and are opened only by the people reviewing applications, through links that expire. We delete videos 60 days after you apply and the rest of your application 366 days after you apply, unless you are hired, in which case your application becomes part of your employment record. To have your application removed sooner, ask us through the Contact page.

Children’s privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the website after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
