Accessibility

Tselia Coffee wants everyone to be able to browse our menu, shop, and join our events online, whatever tools they use to get around the web. We build and check this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.

What we do

• Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
• Text and controls meet the WCAG contrast ratios in both light and dark colour schemes.
• Images that carry meaning have text descriptions; decorative ones are skipped by screen readers.
• Forms have visible labels and clear, specific error messages.
• Pages use proper headings and landmarks so screen-reader users can jump around them.
• Animations respect your device's “reduce motion” setting.
• The site works at 200% zoom and on small phone screens without sideways scrolling.

Known limitations

• Menu: our menu is published as page images plus a downloadable PDF. The PDF keeps its real text and reads with a screen reader; a plain-text version on the page itself is coming.
• Payments: checkout and the subscription billing portal are provided by Stripe. We chose them partly for their accessibility, but their pages are outside our direct control.
• Map: the map on our Contact page is an embedded Google Map. The written address and directions link next to it cover the same information.

How we check

We test with automated tools and by hand: keyboard-only navigation, screen readers (VoiceOver on Mac and iPhone), zoom, and reduced-motion settings. We re-check whenever we add a page or a feature. This statement was last reviewed on the date above.
